Description
Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Bluecrop’ or Highbush Blueberry is a deciduous shrub with an upright, spreading growth habit. It is known as a successful commercial variety, providing consistent and heavy yields of tasty, sweet deep blue berries. It is also commonly used as an ornamental plant, with its lovely little white-pink flowers in the spring, backed by mid-green ovate leaves which change to a fiery orange-red in the autumn, providing a vivid and colourful garden display.
This variety of blueberry will grow well in full sun or partial shade, and does well either planted or potted. It prefers well-drained, acid soils and requires maintained moisture. If growing in containers ericaceous is advised. Keep well watered throughout the summer.
