Baby Ficus Elastica Schrijveriana, a variety of rubber plant, is a small, indoor plant with broad, glossy leaves which are light green, flecked all over with darker green, creating a stunning, marbled effect. In the wild these plants can grow to a whopping 30 metres tall, but these baby plants remain at a much more manageable height.

Place your Baby Ficus Elastica Schrijveriana in a spot where it will receive bright, but indirect sunlight and keep the soil moist, but never waterlogged. These plants prefer a humid environment, but if you place them in an area with less moisture, make sure to mist regularly.

The miniature size of this baby plant makes it perfect for smaller homes and spaces. It would look fabulous in the living room, bedroom or as a bathroom plant, or bedroom but a baby plant is also great as a desk plant to brighten up an office, or to add some décor to an empty shelf.

It’s not unusual to give your plant a name… so don’t hesitate to choose one that you think suits the plant! Try naming your plant with the first name or word that you think of when you look at it – that’s how we ended up with an orchid named Clover and spider plant called Joseph.
