Description
A more compact variety with striking and highly distinctive flowers. The Agapanthus ‘Silver Baby’, or African Lily, is a small evergreen perennial plant with clump-forming foliage of strap-like, dark green leaves which grow beneath upright stems bearing rounded umbels of trumpet-shaped white blooms from mid-Summer through to the beginnings of Autumn. The petals flush with hues of silver-blue along the outer edges to create a very interesting display. A great choice for patio pot planting.
Plant in moist, fertile, well-drained soils and keep in full sun in a sheltered position. Can be planted outside in temperate regions but container planting is advised to avoid harsh Winter by moving under glass. Mulching and other forms of frost protection are also advised.
