This early cultivar is simple to cultivate and is delicious and delicate. These are ideal for desserts and are best planted in the spring or autumn. The harvest season is early spring. Rhubarb plants appreciate a location in full sun and well-drained soil. This early cultivar tastes best when grown long. The stems of Rhubarb Champagne can be left unrestrained for a deeper, redder colour; they will still be sweet and excellent. This ancient cultivar is simple to grow.

Growing instructions:

Sow the Champagne Rhubarb seeds from December to April. Thinly sow seeds into trays (2cm deep). Germination usually takes 10-14 days and once the seedlings have germinated and have grown 10-15cm tall, transplant the seeds or spread the plants 30-50cm apart. Water plants thoroughly after planting especially during warm summer days. Harvest from April to July.
