Leathery evergreen leaves act as a base for the big double blooms, which are ruffled at the edges. Cupped flowers even provide nectar to early-appearing pollinators.

Incredibly tough, regardless of the weather, and hardy to withstand winter conditions, bringing a woodland feel to the garden. Easy and simple to grow, Hellebore slowly establish into small clumps, thriving in lower light and shaded spots. These will even grow happily in pots, provided they are not allowed to dry out under the summer sun.
