Anemone Queen Charlotte

Description

A hybrid variety of the popular Anemone perennials, with rich foliage colour and bright summery flowers. The Japanese Anemone ‘Queen Charlotte’, or ‘Köningin Charlotte’, is a herbaceous perennial shrub with clump-forming foliage of deep dark green, divided leaves which grow beneath tall stems which carry relatively large flowers of soft rose-pink, with lovely overlapping petals and yellow centre stamen. These blooms will appear around mid to late Summer and will last into the Autumn months making it a great option for late flowering beds or to extend the Summer colours.

Plant in any humus-rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils and keep in full or partial sun in an exposed or sheltered position. Frost and Wind protection is recommended in either case. Does not tolerate heavy or retentive soils and will suffer from flagging or drooping of the stems as well as possible root damage from waterlogged positions.
