Description
A fascinating plant for a wild garden with many long arching stems holding compound heads of numerous bright red flowers, “giganteus” refers to the size of the plant! From the Caryophyllaceae family, this Hardy biennial grows between 45-60cm. The unopened flower buds, which are very similar to Dianthus carthusianorum, bear a marked resemblance to a returning space capsule!
