Hamamelis Arnold Promise

Description

Commonly known as Witch Hazel, Hamamelis Arnold Promise is a bushy shrub that provides year-round interest to any outdoor space. This cultivar is a cross between a Chinese witch hazel plant and a Japanese witch hazel plant.

This garden plant features large mid-green leaves that turn dramatic shades of red and yellow for awesome autumn colour. After the last of the leaves have fallen, yellow flowers cover the bare branches. These bright flowers are highly fragrant and the scented shrubs offer plenty of winter interest.

Hamamelis Arnold Promise is an easy plant to grow and look after. It prefers moist, well-draining, slightly acid soil and a spot in full sun or partial shade. Witch Hazel are hardy plants that tolerate chilly British winter temperatures and provide a burst of cheerfulness in the greyest months of the year.
