Description
These great big red flowers on tall, erect plants are particularly good for cutting. This is a spectacular and unusual variety – one of our favourites which could grow to 5ft (1.5m). Worthy of a place in any garden and a favourite for children to grow, incidentally, an ideal plant to grow in a large clump at the foot of large trees or near the edge of a pool. They are surprisingly tolerant of partial shade. There are now also plenty of varieties that are great for cutting – big and dramatic and, of particular interest to the writer – no skill required for arranging. Just stick them in a (large) vase.
