Description
One of the best small deciduous trees raised last century. From early to mid-spring the tree becomes a cloud of soft pink when covered with a profusion of clusters of bowl-shaped flowers 3cm (1 inch) across which are attractive to bees. This is one of the earliest cherries to flower. Young leaves open bronze, turn green and in autumn turn brilliant orange-red. Excellent for small gardens, columnar in habit when young, developing to conical when mature.
