Alocasia macrophylla

Description

The foliage of the Alocasia macrophlylla is the first thing you notice – big, broad and bright green with lightly ribbed tops and delicately wavey edges. These leaves are held upright by slender stems which shoot out from sturdy, woody trunks. This voluminous Alocasia is a real show stopper and will breathe life into any empty space.

WATERING

In S/S water when 20% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 70%.

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS

Bright, indirect.

FEED

Use a houseplant fertiliser every 2 – 4 weeks from April – October.

REPOTTING

Repot roughly every 1-1.5 years. Use a well draining house plant compost with added draining medium like perlite.
