Description
Jerusalem Fig Tree (ficus carica) is the common variety that produces lovely edible purple blacktinted figs, with a mouth wateringly sweet taste. This self-fertile specimen does best when plantedin large tubs against a south or southwest wall. A cover against frost damage is recommended duringthe winter months to ensure a quick start the following spring.
