Description
Sow the seeds directly outdoors from MarchMay in a well-prepared, well-drained seedbed.
Sow the seeds thinly on the surface and lightly cover with a fine layer of soil or grit.
Keep the soil consistently moist until seedlings emerge.
Place in a heated propagator at 21c.
Seeds will usually germinate within 14-21 days.
Once seedlings are large enough to handle, thin them to 20-25 cm apart to allow room for growth.
Choose a sunny, well-drained site for best flowering and foliage development.
Water moderately during dry spells until established, but avoid waterlogging.
These hardy perennials produce silvery-grey foliage and masses of white flowers in late spring to early summer, ideal for borders, rockeries, and ground cover.
Trim back the foliage lightly after flowering to maintain a neat appearance and encourage a second flush of growth.
