Description

The original Cox’s Orange Pippin was raised in about 1825 in Colnbrook near Slough, Berkshire and has been popular ever since both as a commercial and garden variety. It is considered by many to be the best eating apple in the world. Unique fine flavoured aromatic fruit, tender and juicy with deep cream flesh. Not suitable for cold or wet soils. Compact heavy bearing tree, with fruit exactly the same as Coxs Orange Pippin. The blossom attracts bees, and later any fallen fruit is eagerly consumed by thrushes and other similar birds. Bullfinches are, unfortunately, partial to the buds.
