Prunus first blush is a striking pink garden cherry tree plant. With masses of fragrant pink cherry blossom double flowers covering the branches from early spring, Prunus first blush is one of the first small garden trees to burst back into colour in the new year. Dark green foliage follows the flowers and turns a bright shade of orange-red in autumn. While this cherry blossom tree plant produces cherry-like fruits, they are usually insignificant and shouldn’t be eaten.

Plant your cherry blossom tree in full sun or partial shade, in a sheltered spot where the wind won’t destroy the delicate flowers. Prunus first blush are low maintenance outdoor trees and, once established, only need to be watered during dry spells. Minimal pruning is required to maintain the tree’s neat symmetrical shape.
