Thalictrum Black Stockings

Description

Also known as a meadow rue plant, this tall, flowering perennial is ideal for planting towards the back of borders. The tall black stems bear lavish sprays of fluffy purple-pink flowers that stand elegantly above lacy green leaves. Thalictrum Black Stockings has an almost whimsical appearance them makes them excellent informal or cottage garden plants.

Thalictrum Black Stockings are herbaceous perennials. They die back below ground level towards the end of autumn and remain dormant over winter before emerging back to life in spring.

These are low maintenance outdoor plants, demanding very little attention to thrive. Water moderately during dry spells and cut back dead foliage when it dies back at the end of the season.
