Description

Arbutus unedo ‘Atlantic’ is a compact, dense shrub with reddish brown bark, the foliage of this plant is evergreen and develops glossy dark-green toothed leaves. Later in the year, these plants will develop cream coloured urn-shaped flowers, and the following year these flowers will begin to bear strawberry-like fruit that is edible, these fruits will initially appear yellowish-green before fully ripening to red around flowering time in autumn. This plant will thrive in either a fully sunny or partially shaded area, it can tolerate pretty much any type of soil.
