Description
Beautiful red blooms stretch across Peony ‘Red Sarah Bernhardt’, lending the name of the cottage garden classic, but with very few shared characteristics – although striking when grown alongside one-another!
‘Red Sarah Bernhardt’ produces an abundance of scented flowers around the start of summer. The colour really is vibrant when young – pink-purple with hints of red, only becoming pinker with age, revealing glowing yellow centres. Look at the flowers at the start and end of their life cycle – you wont believe they’re from the same plant.
Easy to grow and thriving in well-drained soil in a spot where it can soak up the sun. Stretching up to almost 1m tall, with double blooms each around 15-20cm across – so big, and so impressive!
Supplied as one bare root, grade 1 with 2/3 eyes.
