Description

Heavy flowering, fragrant and low maintenance, the Amelanchier ‘Snowflakes’ is a great choice for any garden in just about any location. A hardy, upright deciduous tree sometimes known as ‘Smooth Serviceberry’. This tree carries colourful copper-pink leaves which appear fresh and new in the Spring before maturing to mid-green in the Summer. Alongside the leaves in Spring bloom profuse clusters of large, fragrant, star-shaped white flowers which are followed by small, sweet blue-black berries in Summer until the Autumn when the foliage gains hues of blazing bright orange and red.

Plant in moist, well-drained soil and keep in full or partial sun. Prefers neutral to slightly acidic soils and will usually gain the best foliage colouration under full sun. Tolerant of wet regions.
