Description
Mr Fothergill’s Tomato Cherry Falls Seeds, ‘Tumbler’ type, easily grown in baskets. Keep container grown plants well watered and feed regularly once trusses have set.
Sow indoors, a warm kitchen windowsill is all you need for starting these seeds. Sow 0.5cm deep, thinly in a pot of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 15-20°C. is ideal. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 7-14 days. Transplant to individual pots when 10-15cm tall. Grow on in cooler, but not cold conditions. Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out in patio tubs or baskets, when frosts are over. Do not pinch out side shoots. Growing tips can be removed if trusses become too large, or provide support. For best results keep well watered and provide a regular liquid feed once fruit begins to set.
