Description
The Chilli Fresno plant is an annual chilli pepper plant. Green, lance-shaped leaves are accompanied in early summer by small, white flowers which will then become green fruits, ripening to orange, and eventually red. The peppers are tapered and glossy, with a similar appearance to jalapeños, although they are spicier.
Plant your Chilli Fresno plant in moist, well-drained soil, such as loam or sand, and ideally in full sun where it will thrive. It will produce high yields of medium-sized peppers, which should be harvested regularly to continue fruit production throughout summer. The longer harvest is delayed, the hotter the peppers will be. They are best eaten fresh and are particularly ideal for adding some heat to salads and salsas.
