Description
Dense, colourful, fast growing, evergreen hedge with small, bright, shiny, very prickly holly-like, dark green leaves. New foliage tinged red turning green with is clothed in masses of rich orange flowers May to June, followed by edible blue barberries which are excellent in jams and preserves or for wildlife. Occasional flowers in autumn in mild weather. The flowers are nectar and pollen rich so are attractive to bees and other pollinating insects. Shade tolerant.
