Description
Sow seeds on the surface of moist compost mixed with perlite, then lightly cover.
Place in a heated propagator at a constant temperature of 20-23°C.
As celosia seedlings dislike root disturbance, sow them in modular trays or individual pots.
Seeds typically germinate within 14-21 days.
Gradually acclimatise young plants to cooler conditions.
Transplant outdoors only after all risk of frost has passed.
Pinch out the first plume to encourage branching and improve flowering.
Feed every 2 weeks with a balanced fertiliser to promote stronger blooms.
