Description
Species of Dieffenbachia are known for their easy going nature. Growing primarily within rainforests of central and South America, they prefer dappled light alongside warmth and humidity but they are fairly adaptable. Undeniably tropical and grand in stature, the Dieffenbachia ‘Mars’ has captured the hearts of many. And growing up to a metre tall with big, luscious mottled foliage, it’s not hard to see why.
WATERING
In S/S water when 20% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 50%.
LIGHT REQUIREMENTS
Bright, indirect. A brighter spot will encourage more variegation.
FEED
Use a houseplant fertiliser once a months from April – October.
REPOTTING
Repot every 2-3 years when pot is full. Use a well draining house plant compost with added draining medium like perlite.
