Attractive variety with sweet and mild leaves Striking, ruffled leaves with truly outstanding flavour. Succulent leaves with crisp ribs, eat raw or cooked. Excellent source of vitamin C and vitamin ASow indoors , 0.5cmdeep, in a tray of compost. Keep warm and moist, a temperature of approx. 15C (60F) is ideal. Transplant 5cmapart to other trays when large enough to handle. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out 45cmapart. Harvest mature plants from September to March. Sow outdoors until June for mature plants to harvest from Sept to March, sow until September and pick as required for baby leaf. Sow indoors for mature plants only.
