Description
Nephrolepis Exaltata, also known as the Sword Fern ‘Fluffy Ruffles’ is a beautifully dense, compact and clump-forming evergreen dwarf fern. Its broadly triangular green fronds with a lacy disposition will remain year-round.
The Sword Fern’s native form, the Boston fern, is an extremely popular houseplant that’s been kept as a green indoor friend since the Victorian era.
This dwarf variety is an excellent choice for a fern that is smaller in stature, and would be perfect in a terrarium. Nephrolepis ‘Fluffy Ruffle’ is a humidity lover and will appreciate regular, even moisture – their drought tolerance is minimal, so watch out. This classic house plant will not require much else aside from a fertile, moist and well-drained compost mix and placement in a spot with bright, indirect sunlight or dappled shade.
