Description
Heuchera are tough dwarf herbaceous perennials that make excellent border plants. They decorate and brighten up shady areas in a garden with their neat clumps of evergreen foliage. Lime Marmalade is a fast and vigorous growing Heuchera with bright lime coloured foliage and has bigger landscape-sized form when compared to its cousins. Its mounding habit makes it suitable for containers and in mixed beds.
Lime Marmalade forms a tidy mound of deeply-lobed and heavily ruffled leaves that retain excellent lime to chartreuse colour, throughout the growing season. In early summer, one can experience tall slender stems producing small white bell flowers that attract hummingbirds and butterflies. The bright lime foliage of this Coral Bell plant makes a garden look perky in any season.
Heuchera are shade loving plants, Lime Marmalade is no exception. It prefers morning sun and shade in the afternoon. Plant it in any soil that is moist and well-drained. It is a very versatile plant and can tolerate extreme weather conditions in both summer and winter.
Trim off any fading or damaged leaves in spring. Lime Marmalade is an easy to grow perennial that demands low maintenance and can thrive with low upkeep. Water moderately between dry periods. It is highly tolerant to exposed winds and humidity but dislikes clogging of water in the soil.
