Ananas ‘Mi Amigo’

Description

As a member of the bromeliad family this small pineapple plant prefers warm and humid environment. The fruit is often ornamental only, not lasting too long before dying back. Once the fruit dies trim the stem at the base, leaving the foliage around it.

WATERING

In S/S water when 20% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 50%. Water in rosette once a week.

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS

Bright, indirect.

FEED

During the growing season feed with a houseplant fertiliser every month.

REPOTTING

Repot every 2-3 years using a free-draining potting mix.
