Description
Lophocereus schottii is a slow-growing and trunkless cactus. They produce ascending stems, which don’t typically grow in a straight line, with smooth, irregular bumps and spineless areoles. Similar to Lophocereus schottii minor, but with much more pronounced and protruding bumps.
WATERING
Water thoroughly when soil is dry 100% during spring/summer months. Water lightly (if at all) during winter months.
LIGHT REQUIREMENTS
Full sun.
FEED
Use a cactus fertiliser 3 times between March – November.
REPOTTING
This species can live in the same pot for several years. When the roots become too large for its pot, repot into a slightly larger pot. Use a well draining cactus compost, adding extra drainage medium such as perlite, pumice or grit.
