Where In trays of seed compost.
How Cover lightly with compost. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-18°C. Firm gently and keep moist.
Care Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays or to individual small pots. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 30cm apart in flowering position.
Flowers June to October.
For outdoor sowing
When April to early May.
Where In a prepared seed bed in flowering position.
How Sow thinly in rows 30cm apart. Cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear 14-35 days.
Care When large enough thin to 30cm apart. Keep moist and weed free.
Flowers June to October. A great way to fill gaps with summer colour.
