Description
Attractive, rare, native, deciduous tree, with maple-like leaves which turn from green to yellow then orange and finally purple-red in autumn. Showy rounded heads of small creamy-white flowers May to June followed by clusters of large speckled brown fruit which ripen in September and taste of dates when over ripe. These used to be brewed into an alcoholic drink
