Description
Leucanthemum Luna is a vigorous hybrid between two species: Leucanthemum and Superbum. Also known as Shasta Daisy, it is a compact, clump-forming, herbacious perennial with inversely lance-shaped,dark green basal leaves. This beautiful daisy is well branched and the flower stalks can reach up to large, showy, pom-poms of double, yellow flowers with multy-layered petals and a darker yellow centres start to appear in early summer and over the course of a few weeks, their yellow colour will gradually change to a two-toned yellow and eventually fade away to long-blooming, they will continuously display their bright colours right into look perfect planted at the back of beds, potted around your patio or make excellent cut flowers.
Cut back dead flower spikes to encourage repeat flowering throughout the Summer. In more windy coastal positions, the plants may need some metal supports to keep them upright and to stop them from flopping open. Easy to propagate by division and divide every 3-4 years.
