Description
Dryopteris Affinis Pinderi, otherwise known as Pinder’s Golden Scaled Male Fern, gets its name from the small golden scales that develop along the midribs of the ferns fronds. The foliage forms in an upright, rosette shape with yellow green pinnae, that develop to a dark green over time. Like its type species, this fern is best suited to a shaded border, bed or cottage garden.
Thrives best in dappled, part or full shade in a moist, well drained, humus rich soil. Can tolerate partial or full sun if watered regularly.
