Description
A vigorous, deciduous vine with good spread and pale coloured grapes well known for their excellent winemaking properties. The Vitis ‘Szurkebarat’, also known as Pinot Gris is a rapidly expanding plant with toothed, mid-green leaves appearing alongside dense clusters of tiny, pale green flowers from early Summer which are followed by large, conical clusters of mid-season blue-grey grapes with a light, acidic, fruity flavour.
Plant in light, rich, well-drained soils rich in nitrogen and keep in full or partial sun in a sheltered position. Requires generous amount of water regularly for best fruiting. Feed yearly with organic fertiliser to maintain soil quality. Protect from Winter frosts.
