Begonia maculata ‘Megadot’

Description

All of the alluring features of the Polka dot Begonia are even more luscious with Begonia maculata ‘Megadot’. The recognisable angel wing shaped leaves, crinkly at the edges, are covered in large silver polka dots glowing against a deep green, glossy surface, in contrast with the warm burgundy red undersides. Begonia maculata is native to the rainforests of Brazil, meaning these ever so elegant plants require plenty of warmth and humidity.

WATERING

In S/S water when 20% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 50%. Mist often.

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS

Bright, indirect.

FEED

Use a house plant fertiliser every month between April – September.

REPOTTING

Repot every 2-3 years.
