Polemonium Stairway to Heaven

Description

A clump-forming herbaceous perennial plant with mounded, fern-like leaves bearing beautiful Spring variegation. Polemonium ‘Stairway to Heaven’, also known as Jacob’s Ladder, is a compact shrub with green, pinnate foliage with margins of cream and pink which create a colourful medley alongside the tiny, bell-shaped, soft blue flowers which appear from mid to late Spring. A great choice for border edging or woodland groundcover.

Plant in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soils and keep in partial sun. Tolerates full sun in areas with cooler Summers. blooming period can be prolonged by cutting back after flowering.
