Mammillaria marksiana

Description

Native to arid areas of Mexico, Mammillaria marksiana forms a globose stem covered in small protruding tubercles from which short yellow-brown spines emerge. In between the tubercles, tufts of white hair grow creating a spiral pattern around the stem. Small yellow flowers emerge during the growing season.

WATERING

During S/S water when the soil is 100% dry. Refrain from watering during winter months.

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS

Full sun.

REPOTTING

Repot every 2-3 years. Use a well draining cactus compost, adding extra drainage such as perlite, pumice or grit.

FEED

Use a cactus fertiliser twice between April – September.
