15x Pink Banana Seeds – Musa Velutina – Rare, Exotic & Easy to Grow
With the Pink Banana (Musa velutina), a unique and exotic ornamental banana plant that is surprisingly simple to grow, you can create your own tropical paradise. This small variety, which is native to Southeast Asia, grows to a height of 4–6 feet and yields visually striking pink bananas with soft, fuzzy skin. The fruit has seeds and is grown mostly for its eye-catching look, even though it is edible. Musa velutina grows best in warm, humid environments with well-drained soil, making it perfect for pots, greenhouses, or sheltered gardens. Seeds should be started indoors in mild conditions (around 25–30°C). With patience and constant temperature, germination takes two to six weeks.
Growing Instructions:
To ensure optimal germination, which usually takes two to six weeks, sow pink banana seeds indoors in a warm environment between 25 and 30°C. Plant seeds in little pots or seed trays that are filled with a rich, well-draining potting mix. Apply a thin layer of soil to the seeds and keep the substrate constantly damp but not soggy. After seedlings appear, keep the temperature above 20°C and give them lots of bright, indirect light. As seedlings get bigger, move them into bigger pots. Warm, humid weather and well-draining, organic matter-rich soil are ideal for Musa velutina. After one to two years, the bananas typically begin to flower and turn a gorgeous pink colour. They are perfect for indoor or greenhouse growing in colder climates because they shield plants from frost and chilly drafts.
