Description
A bushy perennial shrub with aromatic, bright green foliage and tall stems with contrasting dark hues. The Salvia ‘Amistad’, also known more commonly as Sage, is a tall cultivar with mildly fuzzy or hair, pointed leaves alongside tall stems of deep purple nearing black, carrying similarly coloured buds which bloom constantly into beautiful royal purple flowers with a tubular shape from early Summer and through to the beginnings of Autumn.
Plant in moderately fertile, well-drained, light soils and keep in full sun in a sheltered position. Drought tolerant once established. Considered an evergreen in milder regions but frost and Winter protection are still advised.
