Dahlia ‘Sweet Suzanne’

Dahlia ‘Sweet Suzanne’ is a new cultivar of pompon dahlia (or ball dahlia) with pastel-coloured flowers and you will rarely find it for sale. It has subtly-coloured flowers that are rounded, fully double, and with partly incurved petals. Its 9-10cm wide blooms are a soft peachy cream, with a stunning cream-yellow and soft green centre. This dahlia grows to a height of just 100cm or so, and is therefore ideal for the mid-way point in beds and borders, or even patio containers.

The flowers of Dahlia ‘Sweet Suzanne’ start to open in July, and continue coming until the first frosts of autumn. They grow on strong, straight stems, which makes this a good dahlia for growing as a long-lasting cut flower. The pastel shades of this dahlia look particularly fine next to tall, golden grasses, or strong, contrasting specimen plants, such as deep red cordylines or copper beech. You won’t easily find Dahlia ‘Sweet Suzanne’ anywhere else, and it will not disappoint you.
