Miscanthus sinensis ‘Pink Cloud’ thrives best in a moderately fertile, well-drained soil. A position in full sun is preferred, for a broad clump of straight, upright stems that won’t flop over. The slim foliage and seedheads can be left on the plant through the autumn, giving structural interest and providing a home for wildlife—to be cut back to ground level as late winter turns to spring, and new growth begins to appear.
