This is a Nantes type of high quality. It remains in good condition in the ground over a long period which makes it ideal for the home gardener. It is suitable for growing all year round; the shoulders don’t go green and the flavour is outstanding.

How to Sow and Grow

Sow seeds from April to July to ensure a harvest starting in June through to November. It’s best to sow lightly to avoid the need for thinning out; place seeds 5-7 cm apart and 2 cm deep, in rows that are 30 cm apart. Ensure regular watering to prevent the roots from splitting. Matures in 90 days from sowing

In mild areas, Marion can be sown earlier (Feb/Mar) or later (Oct/Nov) under protection of fleece or cloche for extended harvests.
