Description
Calluna Heathers are popular evergreen shrubs which will add a wide range of colours to any garden or landscape display. Due to their hardiness, heathers can tolerate harsh winters and drought spells, so are fairly low maintenance shrubs to take care of. Plant heavy soil and allow for plenty drainage. Water once or twice a week during the first season.
Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist, but never soggy. It is advised to provide protection to the shrubs from cold winter winds. When pruning heather shrubs, be sure to trim below the old flowers on the branch and begin to round the plant.
