Description
Mr Fothergill’s Mustard White Seeds, Very easy, popular salad garnish. When growing mustard and cress, sow mustard 3-4 days later to ensure they both become ready at the same time.
Sow indoors by sprinkling seed on moist kitchen roll, cotton wool or a thin layer of seed compost. Cover with kitchen roll until seeds start to germinate, then remove. Keep moist, do not allow to dry out. Cut with scissors when about 5cm high. Sowing to harvest takes up to 14 days. Regular sowings made every two weeks will ensure a continuous supply. Mustard can also be sown outdoors in a seedbed in summer, where it will produce larger, hotter leaves.
