Description
Known as the Hyacinth bean a dual purpose variety as an ornamental it makes a showy climber with flowers, pods and foliage. As a vegetable, it produces small beans ideal for curries. This tender annual is a shady climber with stunning purple flowers, followed by purple pods which can be used in curries. Pods are flat, blunt and slightly curved. Small young pods can be cooked and eaten whole or left to mature for use fresh or dried.
