Description
Loosen the soil and remove any stones or debris.
Sow seeds directly outdoors in moist soil once the temperature is consistently above 12c.
Lightly cover the seeds with soil and water gently as needed. Germination should occur in 10-20 days.
About one week after seedlings appear, thin them to 3-5 cm apart.
As the plants grow, thin again to 10 cm apart to allow room for root development.
Keep the area free of weeds and water regularly to maintain even soil moisture.
Harvest carrots when roots reach the desired size.
