Where In trays of seed compost.
How Sow thinly, cover with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Keep at approx. 13-15°C. Seedlings appear 14-28 days.
Care When large enough transplant into 7.5cm pots. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 40cm apart in flowering position.
Flowers May to September, the following year.
For outdoor sowing
When March to July.
Where In a prepared seed bed.
How Sow thinly in rows 20cm apart. Cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist.
Care When large enough thin to 25cm apart. Transplant 40cm apart in flowering position from September.
Flowers May to September, the following year. Use seed pods for cut flower displays.
