Partial shade and next-to-no contact with direct sunlight is best for this plant so that its leaves remian healthy. Watering the plant once a week when the soil is dry to touch will suffice. That will be the case until Winter comes as, due to this being the plants dormant period of Winter, watering should lower to once every two weeks.
