Description
Sow the seeds indoors between February-April.
Sow the seeds thinly on the surface of moist, seed compost and lightly cover.
Keep at about 18-20c until seedlings emerge, usually within 18-28 days.
Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots.
Gradually acclimatise the plants to outdoor conditions before planting out.
Plant out after the risk of frost has passed into their final flowering position.
Space plants about 30-40 cm apart in borders or beds.
Water regularly until established.
Deadhead faded flowers to encourage continued blooming.
Cut back in autumn after flowering to maintain tidy clumps.
