600x Purple kohlrabi delicacy Seeds

A fast-growing, cold-hardy purple heritage cultivar that is exceedingly beautiful and ideal for early and late plantings. For early and late season crops, Delikatess Blue is unquestionably our shining star. After 8 to 12 weeks, it is ready to harvest since it develops quickly and steadily. Kohlrabi is essentially the enlarged stem of the plant, although occasionally being mistakenly classified as a root vegetable. The entire plant may be consumed, the large leaves can be prepared similarly to kale, and the tiny leaves add beauty and flavour to salads. The stem may be prepared in a number of ways, including steaming, stir-frying, baking, etc., but to be honest, we believe it tastes best raw.

Growing instructions:

Sow the Purple kohlrabi seeds from February to August. Thinly sow seeds into trays (2cm deep). Germination usually takes 10-14 days and once the seedlings have germinated and have grown 10-15cm tall, transplant the seeds or spread the plants 30-50cm apart. Water plants thoroughly after planting especially during warm summer days. Harvest from May to November.
